Frederick (Fred) H. Chang is Managing Director of Hua Feng Capital, LLC, a China-based private equity firm investing in global and cross-border sustainability companies.
Mr. Chang has served as Managing Director for Chrysalix Clean Energy Capital focusing on China's energy and sustainability sector. He was an Assistant Vice President at GE Equity, the private equity arm of GE Capital, and led two Chinese technology companies after working as a business analyst at McKinsey & Company. At McKinsey, he helped the Taiwanese Government formulate a 30-year Energy and Environmental Policy plan. Mr. Chang has more than 20 years of investment, management consulting, and entrepreneurial experience with a focus on commercializing intellectual property and early stage technologies. He is a Board member of Colorado State University's Center for Environmental Medicine and an Adjunct Professor on technology commercialization at the National Technological University of Singapore.
Mr. Chang holds a BA in Economics & Political Science from University of Michigan and a MBA and an MA in Entrepreneurial Finance and International Relations from the Wharton School.
